Albany is the oldest settlement in Western Australia and largest town on state’s southern coast. We stayed on nearby Middleton Beach. The town is busy and has all the basic amenities. We walked downtown but the surrounding parks and beaches were the main attraction.
The National ANZAC Center atop Mount Clarence is well done if you like military history. The kids really enjoyed the outdoor display of defense emplacements and naval guns.
